Show Progressive Arts plan February party for husbands During their January meetings the members of the Progressive Arts Club met at the home of Vonneal Madsen with Mary Schaefermeyer acting as co-hostess. co-hostess. A very delightful meeting was reported when Louise Hacking read some of her original poetry and we were all a little nostalgic remembering the days of yesteryear. Julie Hansen and Jan King favored members with some of their talent by singing solos and duets while accompanying themselves on guitars or being accompanied ac-companied by Laura Hacking on the piano. Members reported an enjoyable evening. Another special night was reported when Lucille Caldwell showed slides and talked about her tour of the Holy Land. This was held at the home of Gladys Brady with Alyce Aycock assisting. February 6, the meeting was held at the home of Carma Preece with Beth Sweatfield co-hostessing. A film was shown entitled "The Mail Box," after which the members listened to a tape of the Phil Donohue show with Sonia Johnson as his guest. There were nineteen members present and a salad luncheon was served. Leah Hamson, club president conducted the business of the meeting. The next meeting will be a husband's party at the home of Helen Millecam. This will be held on February 20. |
