Show T"1 fa) Jil3A iJ CAR, BOAT, and rocket trophies will be presented to Cub Scout winners of each event in the Cub Scout Circus celebrating the 50th an- niverary of the Cub Scouts. Phyllis Harward, district commissioner director admires the prizes. Cub Scout Circus to celebrate 50th anniversary Cars will roll, rockets fly and boats float at the Cub Scout Circus. Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Vernal Jr. High. All cars entering the Pinewood Derby must be checked in between 9:30 and 11 : 30 at the Jr. High the day of the race. Derby cars are to weigh 5 oz. or less and must be made from the standard kits, with axles, wheel base and wheels all being standard. Rockets and boats must be from the standard kits. Trophies will be awarded in each of the three derbies. The opening ceremony at 12:30 p.m. will be by the Glines Second Ward. Cub Scouts will enjoy games, obstacle course, knot tying display and training area. They will also see some animals and pictures from the Wildlife - Resources. The National Guard will be aVaUabietoheip with the uniform in-; ' spections. The Uintah Cub Scout district will have hot dogs, pop and snacks available for those attending the Circus at a small charge. There is no charge for coming to the Circus. Each cub unit has made arrangements for transportation to and from the Jr. High for their cub members. mem-bers. The public is invited to attend any of the activities planned at the circus. "This will be a great opportunity to see cubbing in action," said Phyllis Harward, cubbing commissioner.
