Cougars edge Grantsville for fourth region victory The Union Cougars won their second region game in a row and stayed in a se cond place tie in Region 9 with Morgan due to a 58 to 53 win over Grantsville in Roosevelt, Thursday. Morgan and Union are tied for second place at 4-2. Wasatch is in first place at 5-1. Lehi is in fourth place at 3-3. Grantsville and In-termountain In-termountain are tied for fifth place at 1-5. Union leaped out to a 14 to 6 lead in the first quarter, and had a 30 to 24 advantage ad-vantage after two quarters. Grantsvill-ed Grantsvill-ed cut Union's lead to three points, 40 to 37 at the end of the third quarter. The Cougars went on to win the game, 58 to 53. The top scorer for Union was Clay Harrison with 25 points. He put in nine field goals and was 7 for 8 from the foul line. Tracy Dye fired in 15 points. Grantsville's high scorer was Brown at 16 points. |
