The exercise was part of a 28 hour instruction course on I.V. training provided through the Emergency Medical Training program and given to 16 members who are all serving as Iron County Ambulance Service Technicians. Miss Taysom in- dicated that the course involved patient assessment, patients in shock, multi-trama, cardiac, and related I.V. training skills. The students had to complete 20 successful starts in addition to .passing state certification cer-tification examinations and Hospital by Dr. David Brown, Medical Advisor at WMC. Assisting with the instruction was Steve Gadegaard, a paramedic from Los Angeles County.
