Show Braithvvaite address Gerontogy meeting The need for continual love and consideration is of utmost importance for persons of all ages recipients of Rocky Mountain Gerontology Center certificates cer-tificates were told recently by Southern Utah State College President Royden C. Braithwaite. Those present at a RMGC Certification Program held April 20 at Weber State College were told that all generations must be concerned con-cerned for others and provide uplifting experiences ex-periences for all ages, from the young child to the aged individual in our society. The Certification Program was held for students from the University of Utah, Utah State University, SUSC, Brigham Young University, and Weber State College, the five consortium members of the Rocky Mountain Gerontology Center. Eight SUSC students received Certificates in Gerontology for the classwork and practical experience they have had in gerontology. They include Barbara Brooks, Sandy; Jeanna Johnson, Venice, Florida; Jennifer. Mack, Fullerton, Calif.; Janet Michael, Fillmore; Karan L. Price, Torrance, Calif.; Tara Roberts, Cedar City; Mary Siebert, Siguard; and Sandra Swallow, Meadow. The Rocky Mountain Gerontology Center is in its fifth year of operation. Vern K. Kupfer, chairman of the SUSC Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, said that the program is a unified effort to ,. advance the knowledge and understanding of older individuals. |
