PHS Jr. High Girls Track Team at Hurricane won by Shawna Freeborn with a 13.6 time. Debbie Allen was 2nd and Collette Adams was fifth. Coach is Kim Heppler. PA ROWAN - The PI IS Junior High track team competed in a meet at liurricane recently and showed promise of becoming strong contenders in the future. Karen Benson placed first in the hurdles with a time of 20.9, Carol Hanks placed third with a 22.2 time. Teresa Lister took first in the discus with a throw of 56'6" and Lori Robinson placed 3rd with a 45'5" throw. The high jump 1st place ribbon went to Monica Pendelton for a jump of 4'4"; Monica Adams placed 3rd with a 4'1" jump. In the shotput competition Teresa Larson placed 4th. The 880 yard run was won by Kim Van Sickle followed by Barbara Davenport 2nd, Quinten Robinson 3rd, Teresa Baker 4th and Eva Alton 5th. The 440 yard dash was very close for 2nd and 3rd with Monica Pendelton, Quinten Robinson 1:14 and Eva Miton 1:25. The 220 yard dash Shawna Freeborn was 1st with a 31.4 time, Kim Van Sickle was 2nd Barbara Davenport was 4th and Debbie Allen 5th. In the 50 yard dash Debbie Allen was 2nd with a 7.98 time.
