Of the 16 freshman who have signed letters of intent, Seven are All-Staters. They include Bud Christiansen (6-0, 205, linebakcer, Gransville, UT), Mark Heargren (6-2, 205, center, Bingham High School, UT), Scott Saturm (5-10, 190, running back, Las Vegas, Rancho High School), Dave Powell (6-4, 235, offensive lineman, Las Vegas, El Dorado), Bob Shuppe (6-4, 240, offensive lineman, Kingman, AZ), Bruce Brazee (6-3, 230, of-fenisve of-fenisve lineman, Burley, ID), and Kelly Swotek (5-10, 165, split end, Omaha, South High School).
