Mrs. Helen Richards and family including parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith spent Tuesday in Greenville with a daughter and family, the Ricke Edwards Elder Mark Storey, son of l)r. and Mrs. Jerry Storey of Ogden entered the Mission home in Salt Lake City Sat. April 22 prior to his LOS Virginia Roanoke Mission. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Oalley. Mr. and Mrs. Gayland Farrow and children Scott, Paula and Greg have just moved into their beautiful new home here. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green took their Sunday School class to Red Cliffs Recreation Park in Washington County last Saturday. The young people enjoying the cook out and fun were Oavid and Oamon Green, Curtis Whicker, Matt Austin, Paula Farrow, Linda Evans and Jill Hammond. Mrs. Rodger Austin and Mrs. Marc Allton spent a day in St. George during the week. Mrs. Austin's parents, and Mrs. Albert Harrison reside there. lly Doiiiiu P;i wnporl The Community was shocked anil saddened by the sudden passing of the highly honored and respected gentleman Walter K. Granger of Cedar City, who married a former Summit resident Hazel Oalley Granger, a sister of Otto Oalley. Mr. Granger passed away early Friday April 21 at the Valley View Medical Center. He and his wile will long lie rememlHTcd here with deep affection and appreciation ap-preciation for their generous gift of a Ix-autiful concert organ, presented to the Summit Ward in July of 1976. They also paid for organ lessons given by Mrs. Robin Hill . of Cedar City to a number of Ward members, and mrs. Otto Oalley, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport and Mrs. Fred Whicker visited with Mrs. Granger in Cedar City, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith and Mrs. Helen Richards attended the graveside services in Cedar City Thursday honoring Dee Melting, who was the husband of Mr. and Mrs. Smith's niece Naomi Harris Melling. Mrs. Oelos Oalton and infant son spent the week in Provo visiting with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rowley traveled to Salt Iake City Tuesday to take their daughter Elisse for a medical check-up and is reported to be doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thompson spent three weeks vacation in Mesa, Arizona with Mr. and Mrs. Randy Crofts and two daughters, who were former Summit residents. The Crofts are now visiting here and in Kanarra. Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton and children Eva, Raymond and Lee enjoyed a three days camping vacation at Warm Springs in Nevada. They were joined there on Saturday by Mrs. Alltons brother-in-law and sister Chuck and Fran Corder of Las Vegas, Nev. The Cor-ders Cor-ders spent Sunday here with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow returned the visit with an overnight stay at the Corders' home in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Humpherys enjoyed a visit from their son-in-law and daugherand family. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Jacobsen, Billye Ann, Patti Gai and Shawn of Heber. The children were here from Wednesday until Sunday and were joined by their parents for a weekend stay before returning home. Young Will Dalley, little son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dalley spent three days in the Valley View Medical Center last week. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Westwood and little daughter Michelle arrived here Saturday to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and Denise. Mrs. Westwood and Michelle stayed until Monday and returned home to Circleville |
