Additional honors have come to Cedar High School by this group, the Jazz Band. Under the direc- Ensemble Awarded Trophy The Cedar High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Larry Wright won the Class 3-A Jazz Sweepstakes trophy Friday at Kearns High School. Over 20 bands from Utah participated in this year's festival. The bands were divided into three classifications 1-2A, 3-A, and 4-A. Finishing behind Cedar City in 3-A competition were American Fork and Timp-view Timp-view High Schools. Members of this years outstanding band are: Brian Graf, Brad Slaugh, Mike Graf, Ed Moss, Matt Hahne - saxophones; Paul Hatch, Clair Cooley, Brad Hunter, Larry Webb, Troy Lunt - tromones; Roger Seegmiller, Stacia Eager, Joe Comp, Scott Fotheringham, Eric Michie, Glenn Little - trumpets; Blake Christensen, Mark Jones, Caroleen Campbell, Carolyn Chamberlain -rhythm section. Cedar City can take pride in the accomplishments of these students.
