Show I TIIRF.K EAGLES. Three young men from Troop 370 and one from Troop 335 were awarded their Eagle Awards in ceremonies recently. Shown are, lett to right, John Davis, Shon Goulding, Steve Esplin, and Morgan Evans. Four Eagle Awards Presented He has always enjoyed scouting and recommendss it to all young men. He is active in sports, particularly baseball and football. He is on the Capco learn in Sr. Little League and has been on the Cowboys football team. He is in the honor band in Jr. High and enjoys playing trumpet and piano. Four young men have received their Eagle Awards in special ceremonies in recent weeks, three boys from Troop 370 and one from Troop 335. Honored were Shon Goulding, John Davis, Steve Esplin, and Morgan Evans. Shon Goulding 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Goulding received his Eagle Award of March 29. He is a member of Troop 370, Cedar City 10th Ward. He also received his "On my Honor Award." He is active in the church and school activities. John P. Davis, 143, son of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Davis, received his Award March 26. Presentation was by Morgan Jensen who had been one of John's Scout Masters. He also received his "On My Honor" award this same night. John has also become a member of the Order of the Arrow. For his Eagle Project, he and two other Scouts went after oak logs to present to the East Elementary for making playground equipment. Proud grandparents, who attended this presentation, are Mr. and Mr. Virgil Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pearce. Steven Ken Esplin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken W. Esplin, vas presented his Eagle Badge by Otto Fife in a Court of Honor held Sun. April 23. He is also a member of Troop 370 of the Cedar 10th Ward. He is an active member of his ward and has received the "On My Honor" award and belongs to the Cedar City Chapter of the Order of the Arrow. Steve says he likes anything and everything to do with sports. He participates par-ticipates in the sports programs at Cedar Jr. High School. He likes industrial arts and is a member of the cadet band. Grandparents are Mrs. Dora H. Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Esplin. Morgan Evans received his Eagle Scout Award on April 23. He is the son of Richard G. Evans and Rowena M. Evans. Morgan recieved his Eagle under the direction of Ray Lunt in the 3rd Ward. He is now an active member of the 11th "-ard. |
