Show M OH T WELL May L. Mower New Counselor In Bishopric At the evening Sacrament meeting, meet-ing, James E. Hullinger was released re-leased from the position of first counselor to Bishop James E. Lar-sen. Lar-sen. Douglas Brown was released from superintendent of the Sunday' Sun-day' School and sustained as first counselor to Bishop Larsen. Dan Pace was released as first assistant assist-ant to Melvin Mower -in the MIA and sustained as Sunday School superintendent. Speakers at Sacrament meeting were Douglas Brown, Dan Pace, Carolyn Hunt spoke on "Thou Shalt Worship the Lord, Thy God;" Karen Woodward spoke on "Who can be' a Missionary," and Ila Vee Larsen spoke on t "Missionary Work." Visitors in the ward Sunday were the following stake leaders: Clifford Drollinger, Floyd Labrum, Lyle Hintze and Ariel Michie. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Powell and Gardell Powell were visitors at the James Powell home over the weekend. Loene Powell, who has been visiting in Salt Lake the past week" returned home with them. . Because of the storm no Primary Pri-mary was held in Montwel last week. i The Scout District Round Table was held in Roosevelt last Thursday. Thurs-day. Scout leaders from here were present. Primary preparation meeting at Roosevelt was attended by Effie Taylor, Evelyn Roberts, Verdan Blanchard, Lila Jean Blanchard, Phoeba Parry, Reita Hamblin, May Mower and Frank Thompson as advisor. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown and' Mr, and Mrs. Douglas Brown attended at-tended the' stake Gold and Green Ball at Victory Park on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown will accompany Ron Harrison to Denver Den-ver on Wednesday on REA business. |
