Show March 22 - 23 Approved For Education Meetings ' Program Plans Take Form; Topics Chosen The 1956 Rural Education Conference Con-ference in Duchesne County will be held at the Altamont High School on March 22 and 23. This decision was made at the January meeting of the committee members. The conference will open at 7 p.m., March 22, with the beginning begin-ning of registration. A dinner will be served in the school lunch dining, din-ing, room at 5:30 p.m. for those people with conference responsibilities. responsi-bilities. The first general session of the conference' begins , at 8:30 p.m., conducted by Supt. Rowan C. Stutz, followed by the welcoming address from Bernard A. Jacoby, president of the Duchesne County Board of Education. A special talk will be given this same evening by a leading educator of the state. The Friday morning activities are scheduled to begin at 8:45 with registration and group assignments assign-ments of guests. During this morning morn-ing sesion, Supt. Topics To Discuss The six topics to be discussed at the conference are those studied by the 44-member committee of the Utah Conference on Education and those submitted to the white-House white-House Conference on Education as findings of the Utah group. These topics are "What Should Our Schools Accomplish?", "How To Get Good TeacheTs", How Can We Get A Continuing Public Interest In Education?", "What Are' Our School Building Needs?", "How Can We Finance Our Schools?", "In What Ways Can We Organize Our Schools More Efficiently and Economically?" Committee members on the conference con-ference planning are Wm.
