Show Win Two Games Tabiona High came to Altamont Friday for a league game. Both the Altamont A and B teams were victorious over the Tigers. The' B team score' was Altamont 51 to Tabiona 23. The A team score was 60 to 28. Coach Bearden played all of his subs and every team member scored. Evan Bennion conducted Sacrament Sacra-ment service Sunday at Mt. Emmons Em-mons ward. Earl Case and Rita Hansen were speakers. Mrs. Edna Hartman gave a piano solo. Ag. teacher, LaVer Bentley, has been sporting a sprained ankle after slipping on the ice last week. from the mumps also. Rex Hanberg received a slight concussion Wednesday while playing play-ing basketball in the gym during noon hour. VARIETY CLUB MEETS The Variety Club met Thursday Thurs-day evening in the home of Sybil Peel. Mrs. Peel's sister, Barbara, demonstrated how to make attractive attrac-tive pictures out of birthday cards, plastic material and sequins. Fern Powell, Edna Hartman, Reta Hansen, Han-sen, Muriel Kolb, Rhea Lambert, Alma Young, Florence Mohlman, LeOna Swallow and Diane Hul-linger Hul-linger enjoyed open-face sandwiches, sand-wiches, fruit salad, hot chocolate and strawberry ice cream sundaes. Gleaner class was held at Rhea Lambert's home, with Alma Young, Diane Hullinger, Eva Bentley, Rhea Lambert and Mrs, Edgar Miles present. Following the lesson, les-son, sandwiches and hot chocolate choco-late were served by the hostess. QUORUM HAS SOCIAL The Seventies met at Mt. Emmons Em-mons ward Monday, Jan. 30 for games and fun together. Doyle Swallow showed three films to the group, the first "Power Behind the Nation," followed by one on Ni-agra Ni-agra Falls and "Highways By the Sea." Mr. and' Mrs. Wilford Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Powell, Mr, and Mrs. Grant Monson, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow enjoyed a big pot-luck lunch following the films. |
