Show ALTAMONT Mrs Eva Bentley . Social Security For Farmers Aired A meeting of local farmers was held in the Mt. Emmons ward last Wednesday to discuss Social Security for farmers. Charles Edwards Ed-wards conducted the meeting and introduced the speaker, in the absence ab-sence of the county agent. The visiting speaker was Mr. Hun-sake'r Hun-sake'r from the Central Utah District Dis-trict Office in Salt Lake. He spoke to a group of 80 farmers. LeVerer Bentley's Ag. Ill class also attended the meeting. Volney and Esther Boswell returned re-turned to Mt. Emmons last weekend week-end for a visit. They visited with Evan and' Zella Bennion. Mrs. Dicy Lister visited in the ward Sunday. She has been in Salt Lake. Mrs. William Bond of Heber spent the past few days visiting her daughter, Mrs. LeOna Swallow. Swal-low. Mrs. Mary Ann Case is spending spend-ing a few days in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital, where her eyes will be operated on for removal of cataract. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bennion visited with Mr. and Mrs. Evan Bennion over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. LaVer . Bentley went to Salt Lake Saturday and stayed over Sunday for the' missionary mis-sionary farewell of her brother, who is leaving for Uruguay. ROSE PROM FEB. 3 Moon Lake stake Rose Prom will be held Friday, Feb. 3 at the Bluebell ward house'. Everyone Every-one is encouraged to attend this well-planned dance. The Altamont High School orchestra or-chestra will play for the dance in Myton Saturday. This will be their first engagement away from home, P-TA ON FEB. 8 Altamont P-TA will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the high School. It is hoped that all parents' par-ents' and friends will come out to support the P-TA. Mt. Emmons ward has had it's share of sickness. Bishop Mecham has been confined to his home the past week with flu. Woodard Evans has had the mumps; Steven Evans and Betty, Mayla and Tonya Mitchell are recovering |
