Show LAPOiriT .' Mrs. Mabel Jenkins Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. received word from Provo that their son. Jack, was operated on for . appendicitis Monday in the Provo Hospital. He is home and coming along fine, Mr, and Mrs. Clinton Morrill and family of Tridell have moved to her father's home to live with him. Neldon Nyberg of Roosevelt spent Monday evening with his mother, Barbara Nyberg and Reed Harrison. Elizabeth Harrison and son, Dale', were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hansen of Provo last Sunday. They later went to Arizona to visit Mr. and Mrs. Murray Mur-ray Harrison and baby. Irene and Kathryn Taylor recently re-cently went to Denver to attend the stock - show. Mrs. Thelma Winn accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Clive Sprouse to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to visit vis-it Dr. MatheW Mansfield who had an operation. Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor of Salt Lake is staying some time with her sister, Mrs. Annie Warburton. She came to attend the funeral services of a niece, Mrs. Fern Nyberg, recently. DUP HAS MEETING The Eleanor Caldwell Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pio-neers held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Lillie' Bige-low, Bige-low, Thursday with Mrs. Pearl Woolley conducting. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Harvey and children of Clearfield spent last weekend with Mrs. Harvey's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, and family. David Burgess went to Detroit, Michigan for the Utah Motor Co. and will bring cars back. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Huber of Ogde'n spent the weekend with Mr, Huber's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Dutch) Huber, and family. ' Students of the BYU of Provo who spent the weekend with their parents were: Alice Jenkins, Larry Huber and' Darris Rasmussen. Ma and Mrs. Richard Lowe and children of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with Mrs. Lowe's parents, par-ents, Mr, and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, and family. They also attended at-tended the farewell party for Dale Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hansen of Provo came in Saturday to visit Mrs. Hansen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Glines and baby of Orem were recent visitors vis-itors of Mrs. Glines' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen. Mr, and Mrs. George Bigelow of Lapoint, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Perry and' children of Dragerton, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil HuUinger and children of Vernal were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle, Mrs. Lillie Bigelow accompanied accompan-ied Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe and family to Salt Lake' City Sunday Sun-day to 'visit Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bell and attend the funeral of Jed Wardl'e. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor entertained enter-tained the teachers of the Lapoint school and their partners Friday evening. Progressive rook was played with high scores going to Ray Lee and the low prize to Sike Thompson. |
