The recipe requires using us-ing Heniz Chile Sauce, which has a delicate blend of chunky tomato bits and mild seasoning that makes this chicken dinner colorful and exciting. Try it and you are in for a treat. "USE COUPON BELOW CHICKEN ROMANO 212 to 3 pounds chicken pieces 1 teaspoon oregano leaves 2 tablespoons shortening 1 bottle (12 ounces) Heinz Salt and pepper Chili Sauce 1 medium onion, sliced Grated Parmesan Cheese DIRECTIONS In skillet, brown chicken in shortening. Drain excess fat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Top chicken with onion slices and sprinkle with oregano. Pour chili sauce over chicken. Cover; simmer 50-60 minutes or until chicken is tender, basting occasionally. Skim excess fat from sauce. Serve sauce over chicken; garnish with cheese. Makes 5-6 servings (about IV3 cups sauce). |
