Show By KATHRYN JENNINGS The Farmington City Coun-cil Coun-cil met March 16 and announced the architect selected to build the new Farmington City Municipal Building. Joe Rhoads was selected construction manager at $35 per hour, until such time that a permanent agreement is received re-ceived by the city's legal counsel. DEAN SWANER and Max Elliott were present to discuss the extension of a 10 inch water wa-ter line to be placed under the railroad to West Farmington, 650 West. The cost will be $6,500 to Farmington City, the entire cost is $18,000 and Davis County and West Farmington will help with the cost. AFTER discussion, the council approved this project. Barbara Lake was present to speak for property owners adjoining the new city municipal muni-cipal complex. She indicated that the close neighbors request re-quest that a park be maintained as it is now, for the neighborhood neighbor-hood children. These citizens oppose the city complex being built in that area, 100 North and Main Street. VERTIS Anderson requested re-quested a permit to build a garage gar-age which would be over a sewer line. The council requested re-quested Mr. Anderson meet with the board of adjustment to determine a solution to this matter. Howard Robinson asked for a review of his garbage hauling contract, which will expire in June, 1983. THE COUNCIL agreed to extend his contract, subject to the city attorney's approval. The Davis Solid Waste management man-agement board will meet March 29 in a question and answer session for city council members throughout Davis County. THE CONTINENTAL Bank will be the paying agent in bond redemptions which are requested. Max Forbush, city manager, reported that building permits are up throughout Farming-ton, Farming-ton, during early March, showing show-ing a good growth in building in the city, kj |
