Show Bat Boy Interviews March 26 Every young baseball fan dreams of getting to be a bat-boy bat-boy for his favorite baseball team. The Salt Lake Gulls will give local youngsters their chance for 1983 on Saturday, March 26. THE GULLS will be interviewing inter-viewing prospective batboys Saturday and will choose the lucky winners later in the day. Each batboy will receive a small salary, their own uniform uni-form and a unique opportunity to spend the summer with some of the best players in the Pacific Coast league. Interviews will start at 10 a.m. at Derks Field at 65 West 1300 South. Members of the Gulls' front office staff will be conducting the interviews. ANY YOUNGSTERS between be-tween the ages of 12-15 and are A and B students in school are eligible. Each hopeful must bring a copy of their latest report re-port card, a recent photograph of themselves and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Batboys will be present for all 72 home games during the 1983 season, along with playoff and exhibition games. The home opener for the Gulls is April 19 and runs through the end of August. |
