Show Wo B o Citizens Work With City Council In an effort to have better rapport between the city council coun-cil and West Bountiful and the citizens, a new committee was formed a few months ago, called cal-led the Citizenry Advisory Committee. City Council-woman Council-woman Irene Janes is in charge of this committee. They are at the beck and call of the citizens, if they want answers to their questions concerning the city. THE COMMITTEE meets often and brings up problems of communication during the time which has elapsed since the previous meeting. At the lastmcctingof the citycouncil, one of the members of the committee said that there were chuck holes in the Golden West area. Mrs. Janes then relayed re-layed this news to the council. At the present time, the members of the advisory com mittee for 1983 include; District Dis-trict 1, Elizabeth Moore, 113 N. 800 W., 295-8279; District 2, Adrian Groos, 640 W. 900 N., 298-0104; District 3, Gordon Gor-don Kerr, 1377 N. 700 W., 292-4522. 292-4522. DISTRICT 4, DcAne Bart-schi, Bart-schi, 565 W. 1890 N.. 295-7570; 295-7570; District 5, Charlotte Charlot-te Hayes, 1536 N. 700 W., 292-1121; District 6, Sheralce Lawson, 2015 N. 80 W., 292-7439; 292-7439; District 7, Lynn Watson, 1050 W. 700 N., 298-4377; District Dis-trict 8, Gayla Titnsor, 190 S. 1100 W., 295-4960; District 9, Richard Dees, 2284 N. 800 W., 298-1464 and alternate member, mem-ber, Jolcne Flanders, 131 N. 800 W. Each of these liason people have the responsibility to help to promote the improvement improve-ment of the city. If citiens have questions or "gripes," they may feel free to tell them to the representative in their area. Recently the group went over to Phillips Petroleum to learn about the safety features and the measures they use in emergency situations. THE COUNCIL of Citizens is in charge of Civil Defense. They are endeavoring to learn how to best assist the city in time of crisis. In April the committee will sponsor contests for posters and essays concerning the improvement im-provement of the town. CHAIRMAN Irene Janes recently re-cently attended the leadership meeting sponsored by USU. ll served as a community progress prog-ress workshop. Mrs. Janes had been one of the speakers. The citizens' committee is eager to help in the beatification beatifica-tion of the city, am |
