Show i Women Voter League Announces Two Unit Meetings Unit meetings for the League of Women Voters have been scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, May 17 and 19 at the home of Mrs. Walter K. Granger in Cedar Valley, it was announced an-nounced today by Ruth Gardner, Gard-ner, president. Tuesday the meeting meet-ing will be held at 10 a. m. and Thursday's meeting at 2 p. m. Both units of the league will continue their study of the "Freedom "Free-dom Agenda," to be led by Mrs. Granger. Arrangements for transportation trans-portation to the meetings can be made by contacting Mrs. Gardner, Gard-ner, telephone 1320. An invitation for ladies of the community to join the league has been extended by the officers and it is suggested that those interested inter-ested plan to attend one of these unit meetings.. "This is our America and it is our responsibility as Americans Ameri-cans to become better informed citizens." Mrs. Gardner said. An afternoon meeting on Tuesday, Tues-day, May 17 will be held at the home of Mrs. L. V. Eroadbent at 4 o'clock, Mrs. Gardner said. For the benefit cf anyone who ' would be interested in a Wednesday Wed-nesday evening meeting, Mrs. Gardner has asked those interested inter-ested to contact Mrs. D. C. Schmutz . These late afternoon and evening meetings afford the young mothers an opportunity to refresh their knowledge of the workings of the government. |
