Show lilumni Banquet and Ball Planned I The annual College of South-era South-era Utah Alumni Banquet and Ball will be held during commencement com-mencement week this year and arrangements have gone forward to stage the banquet at Hotel El Esralante on Thursday, May 26, acctMiXing to Willard Jones, alumni alum-ni president. Following the banquet which will feature a short but interesting; interest-ing; program, those In attendance will move to the C S U ballroom for the alumni dance. Arrangements have been. made for Dr. Ira N. Hay ward, from the department of language arts at the Utah State Agricultural College, Col-lege, to speak during the evening. Master of ceremonies for the event will be Leland Perry, superintendent sup-erintendent of buildings at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University. Graduates of the college will be in attendance and will be honored hon-ored at the event, Jones said. Dale Workman and John Davis, graduates, will offer toasts to the alumni. Musical portion of the program will includa a vocal solo by E. Ray Lyman of Parowan and a vocal solo by Virginia Rose, graduate this year. Tickets have been placed on advance sale. A special feature of this year's alumni activities will be a luncheon lunch-eon find program for the 50 year Club. Parley Dalley announced that a tour of the campus for all members of this organization would get under way Wednesday, May 25 at 4 p. m. That evening a luncheon at the College Commons Com-mons will be served followed by an Interesting program. Dalley Indicated that all members mem-bers of the class of 1905, at that time the Branch Normal School, are especially encouraged to attend. at-tend. They will be eligible for membership in the 50 year club this year. |
