Show 10,000 ACRE FEET Coal Creek Run-off Survey Indicates Shortage If the predicted run-off of water from the Coal Creek drainage drain-age area is correct farmers of Cedar Ce-dar valley face a serious water shortage this summer. A survey by Gregory L. Tearson, hydraulic engineer for the Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service, Indicates that runoff run-off this year will be only 54 per cent of the average for the past ten years. Mr. Pearson's prediction is that run-off in Coal Creel: from April through Sootembcr of this year will be only about 10.000 acre feet. The average for the ton year period from 1913 through 1953 has been 18,500 acre feet. |
