Show CEVAR CITY HIGH SCHOOL NEWS v -.t ft- ' I By Wayne Decker j The big event of the past week for the senior class was Senior Sluff Day on Tuesday. The seniors sen-iors met at the high school at 7:30 a. m. where they boarded buses and left for Zion Canyon. Hiking and playing games were the order of the day. A good time was had by all. Cedar City High School did very well at the Region Six music mu-sic festival. The music festival was held last Saturday, May 7. The band easily obtained one ratings in concert playing, sight-reading sight-reading and marching. The orchestra, or-chestra, received a one rating or Its numbers. The girls' chorus and mixed chorus received one ratings. The 14th annual Senior Breakfast Break-fast is to be held in the high school. The breakfast will get under way at 8 a.'m. next Sunday. Sun-day. This is exclusively for the senior girls. It is sponsored by the girls' organization. A well planned plan-ned program will be presented for this occasion. Many high school students will receive awards next Friday, May 13, at the yearly Awards Assembly. As-sembly. The highlight of the assembly as-sembly will be the presentation of activity awards to a number of seniors. The activity awards are presented on the basis of a point system. Points are earned by participation in extra curricu-lar curricu-lar activities. The Seminary graduation exer- cises will be held Sunday, May 15, at 8 p. m. Tha graduation will be In the new CSU auditorium. auditor-ium. A large group will graduate from the three year course. A few students will receive four-year four-year certificates. A $100 scholarship scholar-ship will be presented to one of the "four year" graduates. |
