Show ARMED FORCES DAY. 1955 BY THE MAYOR OF CEDAR CITY. OF THE STATE OF UTAH A PHOCLAMATION WHEREAS the members of the Armed Forces of the United States have constantly demonstrated demon-strated their loyalty and devotion de-votion to the service of their countrv; and WHEREAS it Is appropriate and desirable that we devote one day each year to a public expression of respect for men and women who demonstrate their patriotic devotion to the Nation by service in the Armed Forces of the United States. NOW, THEREFORE, I Arnold E. Anderson, Mayor of the City of Cedar do heteby proclaim that Thursday, May 19, 1955, shall be recognized in this city as Armed Forces Day. I invite all groups of patriotic citizens, including veterans', women's wo-men's fraternal, educational, religious, re-ligious, commercial, labor and Industrial organizations, to participate par-ticipate actively In the Armed Forces! Day Program in their communities, to the end that we may Join in honoring the Armed Forces and in emphasizing emphasiz-ing the direct relationship of each citizen to the Nation's continuing con-tinuing effort for peace and freedom free-dom throug.i the strength of united people.
