Show CSU Broncos Finish Second at Weber Invitational Weber Junior College edged out College of Southern Utah by a score of 62V2 to 56'a to take its own invitational track meet held at Ogden last Saturday afternoon. Other participating schools and their, individual scores are as follows: Snow, 35; Westminister, 10; and Carbon, 8. Giving the Broncos five first places were Bud Nielson, who won both the 120 yard high hurdles hur-dles and the 220 low hurdles, Bill Meader who took the 220, Larry Adams and John Wood, tying for first place in the high jump, Gary Robjnson who threw the javelin to take first in that event, and Don L. Rasmussen, Nielson, Wood, and Meador, who composed the 880 relay team to takr that event. Other CSU tracksters finished as follows: 100 yard dash: Eill Meador, 3rd place. 440: Ross Marshall, 4th place. 880: Don L. Rasmussen, 3rd, and Boyd Carpenter, 4th place. Mile: Lee Chamberlain, 3rd place Broad Jump: J. N. Webster, 2nd place. High jump: Ernest Workman, 3rd place. Pole Vault: Wood and Workman, 2nd and 3rd places, respectively Discus: Lecn Mason, 2nd place. Javelin: Leo Prestwich, '3rd place. The Broncos also took second place In the mile relay. |
