Show BYU President To Address Institute Grads 1 X J f ( 1 DR. ERNEST L. WILKINSON ' Taul E. Felt, director of the Cedar L D S Institute of Religion, announces that Dr. Ernest L. Wilkinson, Wil-kinson, president, Brigham Younj University, will deliver the address ad-dress to the graduates at commencement com-mencement exercises to be held at the College of Southern Utah auditorium on Sunday, May 22. Dr. Wilkinson, who became president of B Y U on Jan. 1, 1951, is a native of Ogden, a graduate of Weber College and the BYU. In 192G he graduated from George Washington University law school, summa cum laude, with the LL.B degree, and went on to Harvard University with a fellowship. After several years of experience as a teacher of law at New Jersey law school, he entered private law practice in which he met with much success until accepting the presidency of B Y U in 1951. Held Church Offices An energetic member of the L D S Church, he served as bish' op of Queens Ward in New York City and later as a member oi the Washington Stake presidency- . Student addresses at the exer clses Will be given by Dale Work' man, Delta, and Jane Rae Fuller, La Verkin. Musical numbers will be given by the C S U string ensemble en-semble under the direction of Prof. Roy L. Halversen, the institute insti-tute choir, and Miss Virginia Rose. Invocation will be by James Barton Chase, Nephi, and benediction bene-diction by Barbara Grimshaw, Enoch. Director Felt, who will give a report of the fxerclses, announces an-nounces that 51 graduates will receive diplomas presented by Elwood J. Corry, president of the Cedar Stake.
