Show im by Cynthia Lee Director, Consumer Relations Dept. Texize Chemicals Co. SAVE THAT BULB The energy crisis has made every homemaker aware of the need to conserve power. Bet you turn your lights off when you don't need them, but did you know that blackened electric light bulbs burn 20 percent less efficiently efficient-ly than new ones? And dusty shades and glass fixtures can absorb as much as one-fourth of the bulb's light! Electric bulbs, shades and fixtures should be dusted as often as you dust your room. Because of the grease present in all dust, a flick of a rag is not enough. The new Fantastik "Easy Sprayer" with "spray" or "stream" nozzle makes any lamp an easy clean-up target. It's perfect to use on bulbs, bowls and most washable lamp bases. Here's how to go about it: Disconnect lamp plug. Remove shade and reflecting bowls. Apply spray cleaner to a soft sponge or cloth-wipe the bulbs clean. Gently spray shade reflector re-flector and base. Polish with a clean, damp cloth. Check all electrical outlets out-lets and replace plugs that are worn. |
