17-year-old shots self A 17-year-old Ft. Duchesne youth died from self inflicted gunshot wounds early Saturday morning at his home. According to the Ute Tribe Police Department, Shane Jenks shot himself in the thigh and fragments of the slug severed a main artery and he bled to death. The victim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jenks, Sr. who live in the housing development complex north of U.S. 40. The victim was attending Union High School. The case has been turned over to the Bureau of Indian Affairs Criminal Investigator for investigation, according ac-cording to the Ute Tribe Police Dept.
