' ! ; . 1 p ..... . MR. AND MRS. ERIK PORTER JOHNSON were married November 20 at the Salt Lake LDS temple at a double-ring ceremony. A reception was held November 23 at the Ashley Maeser 3rd Ward cultural hall. Lori Luck-Erick Johnson exchange wedding vows Lori Daun Luck and Erik Porter Johnson spoke wedding vows November 20 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was Jack H. Goasland, Jr. Elder Goasland was Erik's mission president at the Arizona-Tempe Mission. The couple designed each other's wedding bands in silver, turquoise and mother-of-pearl. They were crafted by Cliff Zufelt. Parents of the bride are Hank and Dorothy Peltier, Dry Fork Canyon, and the late Lawrence E. Luck. The groom's parents are Venil P. and Gae Johnson, Vernal. Wedding guests attended from Kearns, Heber, Morgan, Lindon, Springville, Provo, Salt Lake City and Mesa, Tempe and Pine, Arizona. Following the ceremony 52 guests honored the couple at a wedding luncheon lun-cheon at Chuck a Rama. A reception was held November 23 in the Ashley Maeser Third Ward Cultural Hall. The traditional white wedding gown of chiffon and satin was made by the bride. Accordion pleated chiffon formed for-med the stand-up collar, complimenting com-plimenting the yoke inset of lace and pleated chiffon. A chiffon over satin bodice was gathered to a fitted waistline of lace over satin featuring narrow bands of satin ribbon caught to a chiffon bow at the back. The full skirt was of satin with chiffon overlay falling into a chapel train of pleated chiffon and lace edged with satin ribbon. Bouffant sleeves of chiffon over satin were caught to wide fitted cuffs of satin and lace with pleated chiffon edging, fastened with tiny satin buttons. She wore white satin ballet slippers. Her shaped picture hat was fashioned with lace and pleated chiffon and she carried a cascading bouquet of white silk roses framed by blue silk carnations car-nations tied with blue and silver ribbon. Bridesmaids, Arleigh Peltier, sister of the bride, and Loretta Orgill, wore evening length models of blue polyester with scooped necklines frosted in lace. Blue satin ribbons gathered the full sleeves and blouson waistlines. They carried reed fans designed with miniature cattails and blue silk fullblown full-blown roses tied with blue satin ribbon. Flower girls were nieces of the bride, Audrey, Natalee and Maury Leigh Luck and Valerie Peltier, a sister. Their frocks were floor-length dotted blue swiss with wide ruffles at the neckline and hem. They wore flowered combs and carried tiny reed baskets of blue silk roses and baby breath with blue and silver ribbon. Mother of the bride wore a blue lace dress. The groom's mother chose a two-piece two-piece dress of blue quiana dacron. Corsages were blue edged carnations. Dale Thomas was bestman. Groomsmen were Steve Lindley, Kent Cook and Rian Peltier. Paul Johnson was greeter. Crystal over blue roses, topped with white doves centered the serving tables. The wedding cake was created by Jacque Johnson, sister-in-law of the groom. Frosted in white with blue silk .roses.' the bottom tier rested on white 'pillars over a blue fountain. The second tier was separated by a crystal replica of the Salt Lake Temple. Baby breath and blue silk roses crowned the top tier. Rina Hall was at the guest book; Alice Hall and Franci Luck, gift room; Hal Peltier, Avery, Aaron and Maclain Luck, gift bearers; "Lydia Smith, Maralee Palmer, Kari Atwood, Gwen Hardman, Soma and Alica Hacking and Kristin Calder, serving; Rod and Dawn Porter, Fran and Carol Palmer, Virginia Adams and Enid Hatch, kitchen. kit-chen. Showers were hosted by Jacque Johnson and Arleigh Peltier and Alice and Rina Hall. Replete in top hat and cane, Dale Thomas as Master of Ceremonies introduced in-troduced vocal numbers by Danna Dee Smith; a humorous reading by Louesa Hacking; dance, Charlene Williams; piano selections by the bride's grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Joseph Luck, and an original song written for the bride by Daun White and Dorothy Peltier. Accompanied Ac-companied by the orchestra, Danna rpp sang the Wedding Waltz. Venil Johiisoii gave liie Wedding I'rayci. Music for dancing was by the Basineers. |
