Show 1980 Uintah County budget approved A Uintah County budget of $9,148,943 for 1980 was officially approved Monday after a public hearing was held. Only two news media persons and one county employee attended the budget hearing. Uintah County Commissioners stated that the lack of attendance at the budget hearing must mean that county residents 'were satisfied with the proposed county expenditures for the coming year. The 1980 budget is $1,453,408 more than the 1979 budget. The major items for special expenditures during 1980 include $1,390,000 for 10 miles of road on Diamond Mountain connecting the Jones Hole Fish Hatchery, $2,000,000 for the new county hospital building, and $600,000 for a new airport terminal building. The 1980 budget has been figured with a 12.34 mill levy, the same as 1979, for property tax on an estimated $88,000,000 assessed valuation in the. county. The new budget also contains a $100 per month increase for all county employees. |
