Humphrey Exchange Vows in St. George LDS Temple Ceremony Nuptial rites Friday in the St. George LDS Temple united in marriage Miss Maxine Naegle and Mr. David E. Humphrey. Officiating Of-ficiating at the June 26th double-ring double-ring ceremony was Temple President Pre-sident Rudger C. Atkin The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. II M. Naegle, Cedar Ce-dar City. The bridegroom parents are Mr. and Mrs. William E. Humphery. After vows were spoken, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception held in the Cedar City Stake House. For the occasion the bride wore an empire princess line gown made from white satin. The bodice bo-dice of the dress was covered with white chantilly lace and lined with a single row of seed pearls. The sleeves of the dress were styled to the traditional lil- ' ly-point. She wore a crown of pearls which caught an elbow length veil. She carried a dozen yellow roses. Mrs. Emma Peterson, sister of ! the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jean Watson, ' Linda Hill, Kathy Knight, Janice Carpenter and Bobette Vorkink. The attendants wore silk acetate dresses in pastel shades of blue, ! green, pink and yellow. The i Hrecoes wpra nn imitatltn fooh I Ion of the bridal gown. Accenting Accent-ing the color gowns were boquets of pink and yellow roses and blue dailes held by pastel net. Miss Joey Grimshaw and Miss Wendy Peterson were flower girls. Best man for the bridegroom was Rodney Cox: with Stuart Vorkink Vor-kink and Norma:i Steen, ushers. Host and hostess for the reception re-ception were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Grimshaw. Kitchen attendants attend-ants were Mrs. Robert Bauer, Mrs. Niel Peterson, Mrs. Walter L. Merryweather, Mrs. Stanley Brad, shaw, Mrs. Reed Bradshaw and Mrs. Sherwin Bradshaw. Serving were Pat Forsyth, Lorraine Lor-raine Snow, Yvonne Vorkink, Carol Car-ol Grimshaw and Ruth Humphrey. Humph-rey. Guest rootn attendants were Mrs. Joel Bauer, Mrs. Carol Naegle Nae-gle and Mrs. Boni Webster. Guest book attendant was Mrs. Walter P. Merryweather. Participating Partici-pating on the wedding program were Janice Olson and Karlene Bauer. Mr. Bill Naegle served as master of ceremonies. The bride wore a powder blue linen skirt accented by a blue and white striped top as a going away outfit. The couple departed for a four day honeymoon in Las Vega? Following the honeymoon trip, they will make their hme in Salt Lake City. The bride grauated from College Col-lege ot Southern Utah with an Associate of Science degree. She was a sorority president at CSU. Her Junior year was completed at Utah State University then she returned to CSU where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. During her senior year at CSU she served as vice president of the student education club. She also graduated from the four year program at the Institute of Religion. Mr. Humphrey graduated from Cedar High School after which he went Into the National Guard. He returned home and was called call-ed to fill a two-year mission in Norway. After completing the mission, he enrolled at College of Southern Utah where he has completed two quarters of work. Pre-nutial parties were held in honor of the bride on three dif-j dif-j ferent occasions. |
