Show Ortcii Cousins Gather For Reunion At Vermilion Castle On June 24 37 grandchildren of early Parowan residents, Sidney and Selina Butt Orton, gathered at Vermilion Castle in Parowan Canyon for a reunion and to organize or-ganize a family chapter one last week. They gathered first at the Old Rock Church where they visited the relic hall, and then traveled to Vermilion Castle Cas-tle where visiting and g.Ulng acquainted was In order. At 7 p. m. a baked ham dinner was served to those assembled by cousins residing in the Parowan Par-owan area. After the supper the group assembled as-sembled around the large camp-fire camp-fire circle where Lollin Orton, as master of ceremonies, had charge of a short business meeting at which a chapter organization was effected, and a fine program was held. Mrs. Lollin Orton read an interesting in-teresting history of Sidney and Selina Orton which had been written and recorded on tape by Violet R. Clark, also some interesting inter-esting items which had been gathered by Sylvia Jones and one or two other members. The history his-tory covered the conversion to the LDS Faith of the Ortons, a little of their life in England, and the hazardous crossing of the Atlantic At-lantic to America by the Ortons as members of a group of con verts to their church. Also included in the history were anecdotes from their life in Utah, including Salt Lake City, and Johnson's Fort, now Enoch, and of their life after moving to Parowan. This history was very much enjoyed by those present, as some of them had never known their grandparents. At the close of the program, officers were elected to form a Sidney Orton organization, and to proceed with plans for another get-together in 1965. Officers are: Lollin Orton, president; Henry Nelson, first vice president; Mrs. Elmer Mitchell, second vice president; Violet R.
