Show Parade Route Is Changed For July Fourth Details of the Independence Day parade sponsored by the Cedar Citj.Lady Lions were announced an-nounced today by Mrs. Ken Benson, Ben-son, chairman. Sho announced that a new parade route had been designed this year. All floats and entries in the parade are to meet at the corner of Main and 200 South street at 9 a. m. with the parade to begin at 9:30 a. m. The parade, par-ade, which will progress north on Main Street to 200 North Main (corner of Main and the Lund Highway) at that point the par-ade par-ade will turn east on 200 North to 100 East and then north to disband along the Cedar City Park lawn just south of the Municipal Swimming pool. This will take the floats and children off main street. Mrs. Benson also encouraged parents to pick their children up at the park to avoid having to have children cross the busy streets to return to the starting point. She also reminded parents that all children will be given either a free swim or a free show ticket They will receive these tickets at the park from clowns. Clowns will be Glenna Rae Flanlgan, Stephanie Bess, Denlce Rowley and Judy Cowan. Parade Judges will be LaRlne Brudshaw, Alene Chamberlain snd Piul Vcrhi with t!-" fn be awarded at the city park by Mrs. Jo Rowley, president of the Lady Lions. Colors for the parade will be presented by the Fourth Ward Scouts and the parade lineup I will be under the direction of El-' El-' liene Osborne. |
