Show Friday Nuptials Unite Kathleen Swapp And Luckie Felstead Miss Kathleen Swapp of Fre-donla, Fre-donla, Ariz, and Luckie Bert Felstead Fel-stead of Parowan were united in marriage last Friday morning In a ceremony which took place In the St. George LDS Temple. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Swapp of the Arizona community and the bridegroom Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Felstead of Parowan. That same evening In the Fre-donia Fre-donia Ward church the newly-weds newly-weds were honored at a reception hosted by the parents of the bride, and the following night, June 26 they were honored at an open house, held in the Parowan Paro-wan Third Ward recreation hall, hosted by parents of the bridegroom. bride-groom. For both occasions the bride was attired in a full-length wedding wed-ding gown of de-lustered satin trimmed with lace appliques and beaded with tiny pearls. Her bridal bri-dal veil of white tulle was fastened fas-tened to a small crown of satin trimmed with pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink roses made with pink net, pearl accents and pink ribbon streamers. Attendants of the bride at the reception and also at the open house, were Mrs. Delna Powell, matron of honor with Miss Glen-na Glen-na Whiting and Mrs. Carolyn Heaton, bridesmaids. They wore pink silk shantung dresses with a veil of pink tulle topped wjth a statin rose and carried bouquets bou-quets of pink tipped white carnations. carna-tions. Flower girl was Sherrl Lyn Swapp wearing a white dress and carrying a basket of pink roses. Standing as best man for the bridegroom was his brother Ross Birch. Ushers were a brother Alan Felstead and Don Swapp, brother of the bride. For the occasion the mother of the bride wore a mint green dress and the mother of the bridegroom bride-groom wore a light green silver brocaded dress and both wore corsages of pink carnations. For the honeymoon the young couple spent the week end in Zion Park.. Presiding at the guest register for the open house was Mrs. Ver-da Ver-da Slack and gift bearer was Miss Rosanna Burrows. At the gift table were Mrs. Calma Decker Deck-er and Mrs. Bonnie Thornton. Assisting in the kitchen were Mrs. Laura Adams, Mrs. Lyla Truman, Mrs. Emma Alder and Mrs. LaRee Burrows,, the last two aunts of the bridegroom. Serving Ser-ving were the Misses Connie Alder, Al-der, Janet Gurr, Shirley Adams and Margaret Truman. The bride is a graduate of the Fredonia High School and has attended at-tended Ray Vogue Commercial Art School In Chicago. 111. The bridegrom Is a graduate of Parowan Paro-wan High School and has fulfilled fulfill-ed a mission for the LDS Church in the Gulf States. He has been attending College of Southern Utah during the past quarter and will return to that school in the fall. |
