Show Ray Knell Accorded Awards at National Convention Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knell and their daughter, Trudy, returned recently from an extensive trip to the cast and Into Canada where they attended the National Nation-al Convention of the American Motor Hotel Association in Chicago, Chi-cago, 111., and the Convention of Rotary International at Toronto, Canada. M. Knell, who was named to the board of directors of the AMIIA in the national convention conven-tion held the previous year in Palo Alto, Calif., was the recipient of two coveted awards at the Chicago Convention. He was appointed a member of the Motel 500 USA Committee by the AMIIA president. The committee com-mittee Is appointed by the president presi-dent of the Association and consists con-sists of a select groupe of carefully care-fully chosen members to ?erve the organization's Interest. He was the only one named to the important committee from the state of Utah. Selection is based on traits of "outstanding leadership, field experience, schooling, legislative background and association leadership." In addition Knell was designated designa-ted for the second successive year as a "Royal Moteller," and received a plaque for "Dis-guished "Dis-guished work in membership promotion pro-motion for the year 1964." While In Canada the Knells visited with Mrs. Knell's brother-in-law and sister, Ma, and Mrs. Jerome L. Miller. The Knells also visited the World Fair in New York City; toured the New England states and visited many other historical and scenic landmarks on the month's excursion. |
