Show Cedar City Organizations Support Third Annual Utah Shakespearean FestivahHere Clubs, organizations and business busi-ness groups in Cedar City are giving their full support to the Third Annual Utah Shakespearean Shakespear-ean Festival to be staged July 9 through 25 at College of Southern Utah. Several out-of-town groups have made reservations reser-vations for large blocks of tickets. tick-ets. Among these is the Senior Citizen's organization from Provo. All motels and restaurants in the community are cooperating to provide accomodations for a large influx of tourists expected during the Festival. They will also supply information. Cedar City business leaders will participate in a promotional project during the first three days of the Festival. Store and office employees will be attired in Elizabethan costumes. The Festival Madrigal Singers will business houses in the downtown down-town area. In reporting the daily increase of activity, Mr. Fred Adams, Festival Fes-tival director, emphasized that any group or family may reserve a block of tickets by contacting the CSU box office. "Large groups planning to attend should make arrangements as soon as possible," possi-ble," he said. "We are hoping that every club and organization in the community will make it a project to attend the festival. Mr. Adams expressed the feeling feel-ing that one must see the plays of Shakespeare to fully appreciate appreci-ate them. "It is not enough to read Shakespeare's works," he said, "They were written to be performed and when seen in the proper setting they really come to life and have meaning for the audience." Mr. Adams added that It would be well if those planning to attend at-tend the Festival could familiarize familiar-ize themselves with the plays before they see them.
