Show Behind The Scenes At The Utah Shakespearean Fest "The Play is the Thing," but in the case of the Utah Shakespearean Shake-spearean Festival, that thing amounts to more than meets the eye. With a cast and crew of more than 70 persons, doubling in at least twice that many jobs, the performances of "Twelfth Night," "Macbeth" and Midsummer Midsum-mer Night's Dream" will go on in fine style beginning July 9. Actors will perform in elegant costumes on an imposing Elizabethan Eliza-bethan set. Lighting and effects will enhance the action. Singers, dancers, musicians and vendors will lend atmosphere. Patrons will relax on cushioned chairs, breathing the perfume of flowers from the Festival gardens. They will peruse programs replete with pictures and stories of the plays and performers. These are but a few of the details that will be supplied through the efforts of the Festival Festi-val company and of the College of Southern Utah staff who work on the Shakespearean Festival all year. Festival preparations for the next year begin before the current cur-rent run is completed.
