Show Israel Neilson Dies Following Long Illness, Services Held Israel Taylor Neilson, 84, died Sunday, June 28, in a St. George Best Home after a long Illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Cedar Ce-dar Second Ward Chapel and burial was In the Cedar City cemetery. ce-metery. Mr. Neilson was born in Washington, Wash-ington, Utah, on Sept 19, 1879, a son of Peter and Anna Taylor Neilson. O Dec. 15, 1927, he mar-ried mar-ried Eva Bennett in the St George LDS Temple. Me was a retired farmer and moved to Cedar City In 195a He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. Survivors Include his widow, Cedar City, and the following sons and daughters, Donald Ray, Cedar City; Mrs. Duane (Arlene) Ruesch, Springdale; Mrs. Junes (Amanda) Davidson, Denny, Calif.; Mrs. Arvll (Alva) Boren, Mendota, Calif.; Mrs. Howard (Ella) Early, Sparks, Nev.; Mrs. Max (LaRue) Banks, Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Charles (Gwendolyn) McLaughry, Fairbanks, Alaska; 13 grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. David (Carrie) Bulloch, Bul-loch, Cedar City; Mrs. Andrew (Irene) Jolley, Peter, Levi, and Alvin, Washington; John, St George; Mrs. LaPrlel Bulloch, Mrs. Byron Gene Ahlstrom, Long Beach, Calif. The service were conducted by Howard Thorley, and speakers were Giles Bolander and Samuel F. Leigh. Invocation was by Mclvln Hulet, benediction by Ed-ward Ed-ward Parry and dedication of the grave by P. J. Wlllams. The musical program Included a duet by Howard and Arm a Wood, a duet by Lorin Miles and Nalda Gardner, accompanied by Mrs. Bernella Jones, and a vocal solo by Ruth Urie, accompanied by Pamela Orton. |
