With the new Red-men Red-men coach building on the foundation foun-dation of five semi-regulars and two squad members from last year's district champions, did a lot of experimenting with a large number of players including a group of sophomores, the play was a little ragged in spots, but the Redmen showed considerable promise never-the-less. Don Ray Melling, who with the possible exception of Lawrence Law-rence Ashdown, saw more action last year than any of the present squad members, led the scoring for the Redmen with six field goals and a foul pitch with 13 points. The remainder of the scoring was well divided with Ray Stephenson getting six points, J. N. Webster 5, and Billy Naegle and Wendle Holmes each connecting for four points. Ray Englestead, the new Red-men Red-men coach will pit his team against stronger opposition in two games this week end, and the fans will get a better idea of what may be expected from the Cedar squad this week.
