Show Barkers Recovering From Accident Injuries, Youth Dies William Richard Barker, 57, and his wife of a few months, Mrs. Mamie Gardner Barker, who .were seriously Injured in an au-I au-I tomobile accident last Friday are reported to be recovering satis-! satis-! factorily at the Iron County hos- pital in Cedar City. Mrs. Barker I was most seriously injured and 1 for several days was In a critical condition. Injuries suffered in the accident acci-dent were fatal to an 18-year-old Beaver boy, Sterling Jasper Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Jas-per Walker. Walker was rushed to the hospital at Cedar City for treatment and succumbed to his injuries Saturday noon. The accident occurred on the highway a few miles south of Beaver as the car driven by Mr. Barker crashed into the car occupied oc-cupied by the Beaver youths as they turned to leave the highway, high-way, crossing directly into the path of the oncoming Barker car. The other boys injured were Reed Thompson, Dale Swindle-hurst, Swindle-hurst, Lynn Boyter, Darrell Kiser and Monte Hutchings. |
