Show Additional Rotary Candidates Named for Election Smoot Seaman and Carl Was-muth, Was-muth, president and vice president presi-dent of the Cedar City Rotary club, respectively, came In for a good bit of ribbing at the club meeting Tuesday, as the result of an error made in the weekly club letter announcing the nominations nom-inations for the election of officers offi-cers for the coming year. The error er-ror in the weekly letter also caused newspaper reports to carry car-ry the same error to the public. It was reported that Edwin C. Cox, Truman Rollins, W. P. Rogers Rog-ers and L. W. Sorenson, had been nominated for the position of vice president, which was not i correct. These four men were nominated for the position of members of the board of directors direct-ors with two to be elected, i The four vice presidential can-'oidates, can-'oidates, with two also to be elected, are Rulon Knell, D. C. Dix, Jim Heywood and Adam C. .Seegmiller. Under Rotary pro-cedure pro-cedure the two victorious candidates candi-dates for vice president for this ,year, automatically become the candidates for president in the fo'lowing election. I W. Arthur Jones and Mr. Was-muth, Was-muth, vice presidents this year, will oppose each other for the position of president during 1953. Other nominations announced are Glen Froyd and Willard Hamilton for secretary, R. L. Wahl and R. L. Durant, for treasurer, trea-surer, and L Robert Gardner and Howard Nelson for sergeantat-arms. sergeantat-arms. The election of officers will be held on Dec. 6. |
