Show East Elementary Introduces Faculty Member . Robert Stratton, one of Utah's most ardent hunters and fisher, men, spends the week-days teaching the fourth grade at the East elementary school. With a strong liking for the great outdoors, out-doors, these two sports and his wife, Geralcline, occupy all of his spare time. Mr. Stratton, a native of Hurricane, Hur-ricane, began teaching when the new East elementary school was first used three years ago and has been teaching there since that. In 1950 when the Branch Agricultural Ag-ricultural college began awarding award-ing bachelor of science degrees, Mr. Stratton was among the first graduates to receive this degree de-gree from B A C. Bronco fans will remember him as a member of the varsity baseball base-ball squad, and back in the "good 'ole days" at Hurricane high school he lettered in basketball bas-ketball and football. Two years in the infantry and coast artillery of Uncle Sam's Army, plus various Jobs during the sumer vacations adds to Mr. Stratton's other experiences besides be-sides school teaching. |
