Dances Sponsored For Teenagers During Xmas Season As a result of the efforts of a group of parents of Cedar City young people, and the generous cooperation of the Cedar City, Eiks lodge, two Christmas holiday holi-day dances will be held for the teenagers of the city. Parents recognize that while these is always plenty of activities activi-ties for adults during the holiday season, there is seldom any recreation rec-reation provided for the young people during the time they are out of school on their holiday vacation. To overcome this situa-tion situa-tion the parents have gained the support of the Youth Betterment committee of the lodge in financing finan-cing the program and have arranged ar-ranged for two holiday dances. The first will be held Christmas Christ-mas night in the high school gymnasium with the Melody Mac orchestra furnishing the music. mu-sic. The second dance will be held on New Year's Eve, also in the high school gymnasium. An orchestra for this dance has not yet been secured, but it is expected ex-pected that some popular dance band will be contracted for the occasion in the near future. The MIA has also arranged I a teenager's dance to be held on Saturday, Dec. 27.
