Show Zoning Ordinance Published by Cedar City Council The City Council has tentatively tentative-ly adopted a new zoning ordinance ordi-nance for Cedar City and has issued is-sued a call for a public hearing on the proposed ordinance. The complete ordinance as adopted by the council at its last regular meeting is published in this issue of the Iron County Record, on pages 10 and 11. It should be studied carefully by every citizen of Cedar City because be-cause the regulations set forth and the effect it will have on community development and growth is of utmost Importance to everyone. The ordinance covers every detail de-tail of planning and growth of the city, and therefore win effect ef-fect in some manner every prop-erty prop-erty owner, leasee or renter of residential, commercial or industrial indus-trial property. Consequently it is important that every Individual be acquainted with the contents of the ordinance. Now is the time to study it and if any Individual finds any detail that he would like to see changed or strengthened, he should appear at the hearing (and voice his opinion on the ' matter. The Council members will welcome such suggestions, and would much prefer to make i changes now to meet the needs of the community, than to have the ordinance and its provisions attacked after it has been enacted en-acted into law. Proper planning of property use to provide an orderly growth j of the city without the development develop-ment of unsatisfactory conditions condi-tions created by improper use of the property is the aim of the zoning law. It therefore becomes cf vital importance to every resident. res-ident. i |
