Show Donate used computers to schools FARMINGTON Do you have a computer that has been sitting sit-ting there unused for so long it is finally apparent that it could be replaced by much needed space? That computer could be used extensively exten-sively in a student computer room, writing lab or classroom in a nearby school. All schools in Davis County have been upgrading their computer capability, but there is a long way to go. There just aren't enough funds to equip every school. Technology equipment would benefit many children, and it would be tax deductible. deduc-tible. Davis district technology supervisor super-visor Steve Cottrell says, "Our schools are using IBM and IBM compatible, as well as Apple II and Macintosh equipment. Any printer, software or related equipment would be appreciated." Many young students are just learning the basics in computer skills, so what you consider outdated out-dated equipment would be useful. It has been shown that students can make impressive progress in their learning with computer programs. Call one of the principals or Steve Cottrell at Davis County Schools district office if you know of a possible donation. |
