Show Not much water to drink HELPER A troubled wat-r system and a stingy Mother Nature have forced Helper officials to adopt a strict rationing proclamation proc-lamation that prohibits all outside use of culinary water. Mayor Mike Dalpiaz told the City Council last week that there are two major leaks in the water system, and the municipality has been forced to drain its 20 million gallon storage tank. The reduced storage capacity severely limits the amount of water available for fire protection and residential use. The drop in available storage water and the ongoing drought in the area forces the cutbacks, Dalpiaz said. |
