Show Take our street, please AURORA Residents in the Sevier County town of Aurora may turn their battered Main Street over to the Utah Department of Transportation. Mayor Larry Crosby said at a public hearing last week that the main reason the transfer was needed was because of the dramatic increase in-crease in heavy truck traffic and the number of motorists using the Aurora road from State Route 50. If the road is turned over to UDOT, maintenance and repair would be done by the state, as well as snow removal. In order for UDOT to accept the proposal, Aurora City must gain right of way of 66 feet on the road through the city limits, then 84 foot rights of ways on county property on the north and south ends of town. |
