Show At Colorado Springs, Colo. Hendricks named to AF Academy Aaron M. Hendrick, 19, a 1990 graduate of Woods Cross High School and currently a cadet enrolled at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, N.M., has . received a prestigious appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo. Sen. Ornn Hatch, R-Utah, nominated Hendrick because of his outstanding scholastic record and his desire to serve his county. "Aaron is one of 42 nomi-. nomi-. nated Utahns who will get the chance to attend one of the four U.S. military schools," said Hatch. "Aaron is among the few who have excelled, a direct result of many years of hard work and personal discipline. It is a great honor and privilege for you to receive this appointment to the academy," Hatch told Hendrick. "You have developed unique leadership, physical and scholastic qualities which led to your selection by the academy." Aaron, a 3.7 (GPA) student while attending Woods Cross High School, participated in student government and wrestled on the school wrestling team as well as running track and playing soccer. He has graduated from "Camp Challenge 1990," at Army ROTC Basic Camp at Ft Knox, Ky. Aaron is an Eagle Scout. He is the son of Myron and Kathleen Hendrick of Bountiful. |
