Show Viewmont High School's Students placed high Several Viewmont High School students placed high in the 1991 Region Two Vocational Industrial Clubs of America Leadership Convention Con-vention and qualified for state competition com-petition next month. The students placed first, second or third in a variety of categories at the regional meet held recently at the Davis Applied Technology Center in Kaysville. Individual first-place honors in region competition went to Rob Newbould in desktop publishing and Heidi Gloshen for advertising design. The three-member team of Tanya and Mike Mclntyre and Warren Sellers also finished with a blue ribbon in the VICA Bowl panel competition. James Sales placed second in automotive service technology, while Lisa Harris and Dan Paget finished third in graphic communications com-munications and job skill demonstration, demon-stration, respectively. Also in team competition, second place in opening and closing ceremonies went to the seven-member seven-member team comprised of Mike and Tayna Mclntyre, Warren Seller, Travis Alexander, Cassie Gram-bow, Gram-bow, Danielle Burningham and Spencer Hughes. "All of our students made a fine snowing, and we are looking for good things to come from the state meer next month,' said Alain a Lowry, school VICA advisor. The students will compete in the state meet to be held April 9 and 10 at Utah Valley Community College in Orern. |
