Iron County has once again been ordered to pay over $400 in sales taxes to the State of Utah. The order was part of a decision reached by the Utah State Tax Commission Com-mission Feb. 10 after being appealed to the commission by Iron County Attorney James L. Shumate last spring. The state is demanding that taxes of $447.81 be paid on sales of admission ad-mission tickets to the 1979 Iron County Fair. The county however, since from the original order, has felt that it should be exempt from the tax; and, said Shumate, will probably appeal this order to the Supreme Court. However, the ruling from the tax commission gave several conclusions backing up its ruling.
